Land O’ Lakes, FL:  Congressman Gus Bilirakis is proud to announce that Madeline Teague, a senior at Hernando High School, has won the Best in Show at the 2023 Congressional Art Competition, which was held in Land O’ Lakes last night. The title of Miss Teague’s artwork, which uses oil, acrylic and glitter is Amour.  As the overall winner, Miss Teague has won a trip to Washington, D.C.

Washington, D.C. Earlier today, President Biden signed the bipartisan Suicide and Threat Assessment Nationally Dedicated to Universal Prevention (STANDUP) Act authored by Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-12) and Rep. Scott Peters (CA-52) into law. This critical bill is the sixth Bilirakis-bill to become law this term. It encourages schools to implement evidence-based suicide prevention training for students in grades 6 through 12.
