Bilirakis Celebrates Decade-Long Journey to Open New VA Clinic in New Port Richey

March 3, 2023

New Port Richey, FL:  Tomorrow, March 4, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., U.S. Congressman Gus Bilirakis will proudly stand alongside local veterans and community leaders to cut the ribbon at the long-anticipated VA Outpatient Clinic in New Port Richey.  This new, consolidated clinic will offer a significant upgrade to medical care and amenities for Pasco County’s growing veteran population.  The grand opening of this one-stop center represents the culmination of many years of tireless advocacy and tenacious efforts by Bilirakis and his colleagues who first secured passage of $11 million in initial federal funding and the authorization needed to begin work on this project in 2014.  Bilirakis has worked alongside senior VA officials to combat several bureaucratic roadblocks and is delighted that the 50,000 Veterans who call Pasco County home will have improved access to the care and services they deserve.  The new, state-of-the art, 140,000+ square feet facility will also offer enhanced services to keep local Veterans from having to travel so frequently to Tampa to receive care.  Additionally, the new VA clinic is designed to support an integrated healthcare model that supports veterans diverse needs.  The clinic's capacity for serving patients and offering more availability for same-day services will also dramatically expand.

Our veterans are our true American heroes and they absolutely deserve the very best care available,” said Bilirakis.I’m confident that this new facility, the modern technology and equipment it houses, and the integrated approach it enables will improve the care our local Veterans receive.  I invite local veterans and the community as whole to come out and celebrate its opening as we thank our heroes for their tireless service to our nation.”

The new clinic is located at 7900 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL  34654.
