While our Veterans deserve honor, support, and thanks each and every day, next Wednesday, we have the opportunity to pause and recognize our nation’s heroes in a variety of meaningful ways
October was filled with many exciting events, hearings, markups, votes, and visits with so many constituents, families, and advocates. Great things are happening in Florida’s 12th district and I look forward to continuing my efforts to help our families, Veterans, and communities. Here are some highlights from October:

This week, the Congressional Caucus on Hellenic Issues hosted an inaugural “Stand with Greece” policy summit at the U.S. Capitol.

This past month, I spent time travelling around FL-12 to meet with constituents and visit local business and organizations. Here are some highlights from August 2015:
In his State of the Union address, the President said: “Between now and this spring, we have a chance to negotiate a comprehensive agreement that prevents a nuclear-armed Iran; secures America and our allies – including Israel; while avoiding yet another Middle East conflict.”
On October 1, 2013, Healthcare.gov – the main website for the President’s health care law – went live. The President and his allies in the House and Senate sold this law on a number of promises – the ability to keep your plan and doctor, and an average reduction of $2500 in premiums for a family of four, to name a few.
The most recently released economic report says that the country added 248,000 jobs to the workforce in September.
