Location of New VA West Pasco Clinic Secured by Bilirakis Is Announced
Congressman Gus is proud to announce the new location of the consolidated West Pasco VA Outpatient clinic, which was just selected by the VA today. The new clinic will be housed at 7932 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34654. It will be located north of the Pasco County Government Center and South of Ridge Road, on the east side of Little Road.
Congressman Bilirakis secured $11 million for this enhanced new facility in 2014. The newly constructed facility will be 114,000 square feet, which is more than double the current clinic’s size. It will offer more parking and provide expanded services so that Veterans will have to travel less frequently from West Pasco to James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa. The new outpatient clinic is intended to consolidate health care services now administered at five locations, including the current outpatient clinic at 9912 Little Road, New Port Richey, FL 34654. The new facility will offer the following expanded services to Veterans and their families: mental health, primary care, vision, dental, home-based primary care, MRI and CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, audiology, pharmacy, prosthetics, physical therapy, lab, eligibility and enrollment, release of information, library, police, and canteen.
“With more than 54,000 veterans calling Pasco home, our community has outgrown the current VA West Pasco Outpatient Clinic. Veterans in our community deserve access to the best possible care, which is why I have fought tirelessly for a larger, state-of-the-art facility which will better meet the needs of our local heroes. This new facility will bring added convenience for Veterans. I look forward to celebrating its grand opening,” said Congressman Bilirakis.
