2020 Virtual Veteran Resource Fair
Every year my office organizes a Veteran Resource Fair to connect veterans to resources available to them in the community. Thank you to St. Petersburg College and the Institute for Strategic Policy Solutions for helping us adapt to the challenges of the pandemic and still help to make connections between Veterans and services in the community.
My highest priority is to ensure all our nation's heroes receive the care and benefits they deserve. I know that these are troubling times, however, I am encouraged by the deep sense of community and connectedness everywhere you turn. I remain committed to serving you and doing everything in my power to ensure we have the resources our community needs to fully recover.
While we have made progress in providing better care of our Veterans there is still more work to be done. I'm particularly concerned about Veterans who were exposed to toxic burn pit chemicals during their service getting the care and benefits they need, expanding Veterans' access to dental care, changing the way we approach suicide prevention in the Veteran community, improving GI benefits, and keeping Veterans from becoming victims of exploitation. I will not stop fighting for each of these priorities and for you!
