2016 Veterans' Fair Through The Lens

April 21, 2016
Bilirakis Blog

Last week, I held my 10th Annual Veterans' Fair to help support local Veterans and gather their ideas on issues important to them.

I am grateful to all of the participants – dozens of organizations, businesses, and individuals came out to share their products, services, and support for our heroes. The resource fair provided valuable information to help Veterans in their daily lives.

Following the resource fair, I hosted a town hall event to hear directly from our Veterans about the issues important to them. These events help me gather important insight on whether our legislative efforts to fix VA shortcomings are resulting in positive outcomes. The best ideas always come from my constituents and I am proud to serve so many of our nation's heroes. I will continue my efforts to address these issues and ensure our Veterans receive the care and support they have earned and deserve.

Check out some photo highlights from my 10th Annual Veteran's Fair:

I met with a 94-year-old Pearl Harbor survivor. Our Veterans never cease to amaze me! Hearing their stories is truly inspiring.

My district staff helps make our heroes smile. A Veteran himself, my District Director Mike Ciminna, helps our local heroes in so many ways. Thankful to have great team members like him.
