Bilirakis visits expansion for Pasco VA Clinic

Gus, who is a Member of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee and Chairman of the Republican Policy Committee's Task Force on Veterans' Affairs, met with local VA officials and toured the new off-site VA Dental Clinic in New Port Richey which is expected to open sometime in the new year.

Since coming to Congress, Gus has been a leader in the fight to provide our veterans and service members with the pay and benefits they deserve. Bilirakis has worked with local and national VA officials to expand the Pasco County VA Outpatient Clinic and bring additional health care services, such as dental care, to area veterans.

The 4,000 sq. ft. expansion allows for an increase in primary care services which have been suppressed due to space limitations. During the last several fiscal years, overall clinic volume has leveled out at 135,000 visits per year.

Outpatient dental benefits are provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs according to law. In some instances, the dental care may be extensive, while in other cases treatment may be limited.
