Gus Visits Local “Waste-to-Energy” Company
January 5, 2011
TARPON SPRINGS, FL (January 5, 2010) – Earlier this week, Gus took the time to visit with a local business that's on the cutting edge of both energy creation and environmental protection.
MagneGas was founded two years ago by Italian-American immigrant and former MIT and Harvard physicist Dr. Ruggero Santilli. It makes equipment that converts liquid waste into clean energy – fuel that burns cleaner than natural gas.
What started as a mom-and-pop operation has blossomed into a publicly-held corporation with 15 employees.
"I am so pleased that creative entrepreneurs have created a company right here in the bay area that will benefit the whole world," Gus said. "With energy prices skyrocketing again, we need this type of innovation right now more than ever."
