Bilirakis Announces Energy and Commerce Subcommittee Assignments for the 114th Congress

December 3, 2014

Washington, D.C. – Representative Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), member of the Energy and Commerce Health Committee, was named to serve on the Subcommittee on Health, the Subcommittee on Communications & Technology, and the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, & Trade.

"I am honored to continue my work on the Energy and Commerce Committee in the 114th Congress. We have made tremendous strides the past two years. We have passed bills that will put Americans back to work, lower energy costs, put patients in charge of their health care, and generally help Americans across the nation thrive. It has truly been a bipartisan record of success," Bilirakis said.

"I am pleased I will be returning to the Health and Commerce, Manufacturing, & Trade Subcommittees – they have provided me with excellent opportunities to advocate for my constituents on a wide variety of issues. I am extremely grateful to be able to serve on the Communications & Technology Subcommittee in the coming Congress. Net neutrality, cybersecurity, and innovation in the technology sector are all pressing matters facing the nation, and I am looking forward to working with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle on these and other issues."
