Bilirakis Condemns Democrats’ Misguided Priorities While Americans Suffer
Washington, DC: Last night, Congressman Bilirakis spoke on the House Floor about the economic crisis Americans are enduring and how Democrats continue deflect, blame, and pursue misguided priorities that will further compound the financial pain.
"At a time when Americans are facing extreme difficulty grappling with the highest rates of inflation in more than 40 years, gas that exceeds $5 per gallon, workforce and food shortages, unprecedented crime and illegal border crossings, House Democrats continue to ignore urgent matters and instead engage in deflection,"said Bilirakis.
Bilirakis discussed a bill Speaker Pelosi scheduled for a vote this week which allocates $1.3 billion in annual mandatory spending to create a new regulatory agency that will protect endangered species. "This is the type of tone-deaf policy proposal that leaves Americans believing that Democrats are out-of-touch with average Americans," Bilirakis noted.
Bilirakis remains focused on the economic plight of his constituents by fighting to rein in reckless government spending, addressing supply chain problems and product shortages, restoring American energy independence through increased domestic production, and removing regulatory barriers keeping small businesses from being able to grow. He called upon his Democrat colleagues to stop deflecting blame and to join him in tackling these critical priorities. To listen to the Congressman's remarks, click here.
