Bilirakis Meets with Pasco Small Business Owners and Community Leaders

August 4, 2022

New Port Richey: Last night, Congressman Gus Bilirakis met with a group of small business owners and business leaders in Pasco County. He provided the group with a brief legislative update on the work he is doing to help Veterans, seniors and rare disease patients while fixing our nation's broken mental health system. He also shared his support of concrete legislative solutions to address the record high inflation, surge in gas prices, and supply chain issues that have been plaguing Americans. Specifically, the Congressman touched on his support for the following:

  • Stopping reckless government spending and passing a balanced budget amendment, and
  • Restoring American Independence by ending the war on domestic energy production by passing the American Energy Independence from Russia Act,
  • Supporting the reshoring of jobs and boosting domestic manufacturing

After his brief update, Bilirakis answered questions from the group and listened to their priorities for getting America moving in the right direction again. "It is always wonderful to hear directly from my constituents about the issues that matter most to their families and learning how we can support them," said Congressman Bilirakis. "I look forward to taking their ideas back to Washington as we strive to build an economy that's strong, a nation that's safe, a future that's free and a government that's accountable."
