MEDIA ADVISORY: Bilirakis to Host Seniors Health Fair Oct. 21

"Seniors are extremely important to the fabric of our community, and I want to make sure they are able to access the services and information that will keep them healthy," Bilirakis said. "This fair will serve as a one-stop shop for seniors to receive a variety of check-ups and assistance."

The confirmed vendor list is up to 26 local non-profit and government agencies that will provide numerous free services for seniors including: Blood pressure checks, diabetes testing, hearing and vision testing, Prostate-Specific Antigen blood testing, Macular Degeneration DNA testing, Oxygen saturation testing, and bone density checks. In addition, seasonal flu shots, nutrition counseling, information on prescription drug coverage, respite and Alzheimer's care needs, employment information and veterans' services will be offered to those in attendance.

The fair will be held at the Madison Square Special Event Center at 4035 Madison Street in New Port Richey.
