Rep. Bilirakis Hosts 5th Annual Military and Veterans Resource Fair

"I have made it a priority to convey the need for improved benefits and opportunities for America's veterans and servicemembers," said Bilirakis, Vice Chairman of the House Veterans' Affairs Committee. "Whether it is providing assistance with VA claims or working with federal agencies to solve complex issues, my office is here to help those who selflessly defend and protect our nation."

The free event, which will be held from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., will feature dozens of agencies, groups and organizations that can provide information and help active duty servicemembers and veterans with resources available to them.

Information will be available about medical and dental care, veterans claims and services, educational benefits, job placement and employment services, housing services, social services and more. Click here to view a list of confirmed attendees (as of July 21).

Jack Harris, 970 WFLA radio host and Vietnam veteran, will be the keynote speaker. Ryan Weaver, an Army Black Hawk pilot, will provide musical entertainment. Former football players and veterans advocates Martín, Bill and Santiago Gramática will be on hand as well.

The event will also feature a parachute jump by the SOCOM Para-Commandos, which will begin at noon, and a U.S. Coast Guard helicopter flyover.
