Washington, D.C. (February 14, 2013) - Thursday, Members of Congress, foreign diplomats and the public gathered on Capitol Hill to celebrate the launch of the bi-partisan Congressional Hellenic-Israel Alliance (CHIA). This new Congressional initiative, established by Congressman Gus M. Bilirakis (R-FL) with the help of Congressman Ted Deutch (D-FL), will highlight the relationships forming between Cyprus, Greece and Israel.
?The American worker is second to none, and we must find ways to support our country?s manufacturing base,? said Bilirakis. ?Locally, Zephyrhills Water employs 258 people and manufactures Zephyrhills and Nestlé Pure Life water products, ranging from eight-ounce to five-gallon ?water cooler? containers, which are distributed to homes and offices across Florida. Their testimony shed light on the state of our economy and how we can spur economic growth in this vital sector.?

Congressman Bilirakis: "The Bulgarian government's report is yet another example of Hezbollah's deliberate use of terror across the globe. Contrary to some European opinions, Hezbollah is not merely a political organization and is actively involved in terrorist activities. As I have requested many times, the European Union must finally recognize Hezbollah for what it is: a terrorist organization. I commend the Bulgarian government for their thorough investigation and call on the members of the European Union to examine these findings closely."
