"The Express Employment Professionals, the largest private staffing firm in the country, conducted a survey that found that, in order to elude being subjected to the Employer Mandate, 70% of businesses with 45-49 employees will avoid hiring to stay under the 50-employee mark. It also found that 60% believe Obamacare will lead to less job creation," said Bilirakis.

I whole-heartedly support a delay of the astronomical increases to flood insurance rates, while pushing for a permanent legislative fix. It is clear FEMA did not consider affordability to homeowners when implementing the law; Congressional action is necessary."

"The Obama Administration continues to ignore the provisions of its own law," said Bilirakis. "The dates of implementation for the Employer Mandate were written into the statute. The Obama Administration has simply ignored these provisions. This is tacit confirmation and incontrovertible proof that the law is unworkable.
"Excessive government spending is one of the most serious and pressing concerns our nation faces. Washington's culture of spending must end. Spending money we do not have and thereby placing this financial burden on the backs of our children and grandchildren is irresponsible and wrong.
"It is imperative that we keep our promise to the members of the armed services who have sacrificed so much for our country," said Bilirakis. "Military retirees have bravely served and made enormous personal sacrifices. Our country promised these retirement pensions to military retirees. Attendees will be able to meet with local businesses who are hiring in the areas of finance, education and training, technology, medicine and health care, military and law enforcement, hospitality, and retail.
The event is presented at no cost to attendees and all are welcome to attend. Please dress professionally and bring plenty of resumes.
"As we embark on the sad 41st anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, we pause to remember and mourn the millions of children whose lives have been cut short due to selective procedures.
"With today's vote, the House came together in a bi-partisan fashion to cut spending and put our country's fiscal house on a stable and secure path – all while not raising taxes on the American people," said Bilirakis.
During the hearing, Congressman Bilirakis asked experts from the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) whether creating a more appropriate Star Rating system tailored to the Medicare Advantage Special Needs Plans would provide more accurate information for beneficiaries.
