This bipartisan, bicameral legislation was developed with the input of the rare disease community, and is aimed at improving the development of and access to therapies for the rare disease community.

Washington, D.C. Earlier today, President Biden signed the bipartisan Suicide and Threat Assessment Nationally Dedicated to Universal Prevention (STANDUP) Act authored by Rep. Gus Bilirakis (FL-12) and Rep. Scott Peters (CA-52) into law. This critical bill is the sixth Bilirakis-bill to become law this term. It encourages schools to implement evidence-based suicide prevention training for students in grades 6 through 12.
