Washington, DC: At the request of their constituents, Representatives Gus Bilirakis and John Garamendi proudly introduced legislation today that will create a 100th anniversary commemorative coin for the Fleet Reserve Association. This bipartisan legislation would direct the Department of Treasury to mint a coin to commemorate the centennial of the foundation and charter of the FRA in 1924, all at no cost to American taxpayers.
"The recent rise in anti-Semitic behavior throughout our country and around the globe is simply appalling. Whether it's a group in central Florida using anti-Semitic racial slurs, a Hollywood elite trying to claim that the Holocaust was not rooted in racism, Amnesty International comparing Israel to an apartheid regime, or a coordinated effort to leave anti-Semitic flyers on doorsteps throughout six different states—it is disgusting and unacceptable," said Congressman Gus Bilirakis.
In March of 2021, Congressman Bilirakis was named the 12th Most Effective Republican Legislator in Congress based upon his record of legislative achievements. He was also named as one of the most Bipartisan Members of Congress. The following reflect his legislative accomplishments this term:

Washington, D.C.— Representatives Gus Bilirakis (FL-12), Ruben Gallego (AZ-07), Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) have introduced the bipartisan Restore Veterans' Compensation Act. This legislation protects Veterans who receive disability benefits from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) from having to face the unfair and unwarranted recoupment of their separation pay.
Washington, DC: Congressman Gus Bilirakis and other Members of the Florida congressional delegation are questioning the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) sudden decision to revoke the emergency use authorizations for two monoclonal antibody drugs. This decision cut off these treatment options for thousands of Floridians in need and forced all of the state's monoclonal antibody treatment sites to close.
Washington, DC: Representatives Gus Bilirakis and Nicole Malliotakis recently sent a stern letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken vociferously objecting to the Administration's recent reversal of support for the Eastern Mediterranean Pipeline. By undermining the project, the Administration is undercutting three of our strongest allies in the region: Israel, Greece, and Cyprus, as well as the European Union's hopes for energy independence and economic prosperity.
