"It's vital that we create tax certainty and stability, but I could not support this so-called compromise because it will continue to cripple our nation's fiscal position."

Members received "A in English" honors based on their votes for several key issues, such as the English Language Unity Act, which declares English as the official language of the U.S. and establishes a uniform English language rule for naturalization.
