Bilirakis cosponsored HR 4, the Small Business Paperwork Mandate Elimination Act of 2011, in order to help eliminate this enormous burden that takes time, energy and resources away from businesses. The bill passed with a 314-112 vote.

The position will allow Bilirakis to play a vital role in providing veterans access to the benefits they have earned and deserve. At 1.7 million, Florida has the second-largest population of military veterans in the U.S.
"The House is listening to the message that Americans sent Washington this past fall," Bilirakis said. "America simply cannot afford a health care overhaul that costs jobs, spends over a trillion dollars and raises premiums. We will replace the overreaching health care law with sensible solutions that will lower costs, increase access to insurance, preserve the doctor-patient relationship and keep Americans in charge of their own health."
